Lorenzo Reyna

Lorenzo is known for perhaps two things, being a sports enthusiast and his collection of jerseys from throwbacks to even former Bulldogs.

However, last year Lorenzo became recognized for one more thing, creating an all-new sports website for the Fresno State fan.

That was his promise when he created Red Zone Frenzy. His website had the goal of becoming the newest destination for Bulldog fans. His website delivered features on area recruits, football notes from the Bulldogs’ practice field, to even features on what some former Fresno State stars are doing.

Lorenzo does it all from the game day story, to the column or blog, to even taking photographs. He has become his own taskmaster in delivering the newest place to go for Fresno State fans.

Of course, he didn’t do it alone. Thanks to a great partnership with the Dogbyte Podcast, Lorenzo is also the co-host of the podcast alongside Lucio Ourique. He also teamed with two of the longest tenured Red Zone fans Chris Rogstad and Jeremy Berbereia to help cover Bulldog athletics, from the on-campus sports to even coverage of former and future Bulldogs.

Before creating RZF, Lorenzo was very active with the award winning Fresno State campus newspaper The Collegian. He covered mostly football, men’s basketball and also wrote an inspiring blog that looked back on the life and legacy of former Fresno State defensive coordinator Dan Brown.

After graduating from Fresno State in 2009, he began to work alongside Mario Gomez of Scout.com, where he did feature stories on some of the top valley high school football prospects, which included future Bulldog safety Edward Dillihunt. He also helped cover The Passing Down Skills Camp for scout, a camp run by former Bulldog and NFL player Cameron Worrell.

While Lorenzo and RZF has had success with lasting one whole year, the ultimate goal is one day providing future employment opportunities at RZF. His true vision for RZF is turning it into a new media outlet where jobs can be offered!

In the mean time, expect Lorenzo and RZF to get you ready for another great year of Fresno State athletics, from the on-campus sports, to the former ‘Dogs, to even some potential future Bulldogs!
